The issues facing Indigenous communities in Canada are complex and are the result of many things that have transpired over the past 150 years. With more than 60 percent of Indigenous children living below the poverty line, there is so much work to be done. True North Aid is a Canadian charity whose mandate is to provide practical humanitarian assistance, believing that self-governance and self-determination is key to closing the poverty gap.
