The bittersweet realization that Fall is upon us ... 🍂 I hope you have had a wonderful summer. I sure have! I was pretty committed to being OOO most Fridays to spend more time with my family and in nature. ☀️
It's time to start thinking about September social media but before we do that, I should do my usual harping 😉 on you about making REELS. REELS actually turned 2 years old this month 🎂 and continues to grow in importance.
Did you know the average IG user spends 30 minutes per day on the app? Last fall Instagram for Business reported that 91% of active IG users watch videos on Instagram at least once a week. For us small business owners who also wear the marketing hat, this signals that videos continue to be boss. Reels are the ticket if you are actively trying to reach new audiences and increase engagement.
Well enough harping, let's get into September social media dates.
IDEA ➡️ This date is for the animal lovers out there.
IDEA ➡️ Wish your online community a happy long weekend OR feature a promo in-store/online.
IDEA ➡️ Share your fave book of the moment with your audience. This could be a great personal touch post or a business book recommendation.
IDEA ➡️ This could also be a personal post. Many of us have been personally affected by Cancer.
IDEA ➡️ Give a shout-out to Nonno and Nonna!
IDEA ➡️ Share how your business is contributing to this wonderful cause.
IDEA ➡️ Share how your business is embrancing the change of the season. New merch, new promos, etc.
IDEA ➡️ Create a reel featuring your best pancake recipe.
September 29th National Women’s Health and Fitness Day #FitnessDay
IDEA ➡️ Share a Reel from your exercise class or a group walk you went on with your team.
September 30th - National Truth and Reconciliation Day #EveryChildMatters
IDEA ➡️ How can we bring our communities together in a spirit of reconciliation and hope because EVERY child matters. We as small biz owners have a voice and an audience so it's important we do something on this day.
