We are knock, knock, knocking on July's door. Before we review some pretty awesome dates in July that you can incorporate into your social media strategy, I wanted to let you know that REELS templates are now available! 🥳
What are REELS templates? They're basically lifesavers. You know how you watch some accounts and they just nail their video clip's timing to the music? Well, you can do that too. This "yum, yum, yum" audio and template could be used for so many reels - Food, new merch, wine tasting...
Let's break it down step by step:
Step 1: Go to your REELS tab and start scrolling.
Step 2: Find a REEL that has USE TEMPLATE on it and tap that.
Step 3: Add your media from your camera roll to the template. Do you see where I'm going with this?
Step 4: Finish your REEL the way you normally would.
Step 5: Now try creating one and tag me in it! I'd love to see it and share it.

July 1 - Canada Day #CanadaDay
IDEA ➡️ Last year Canada Day was essentially cancelled due to the horrific residential school discoveries. This year some people will be celebrating, but it certainly wouldn't hurt to mention that our hearts continue to be with our Indigenous communities.
July 2nd - World UFO Day #WorldUFODay
IDEA ➡️ Depending on your business, this day is a little out there. This could be a thought-provoking post. Are there any X-Files fans out there?
July 3rd - International Plastic Bag Free Day #PlasticBagFreeDay
IDEA ➡️ Encourage customers to purchase a reusable tote to shop or share an image of your beautifully branded paper bags.
July 6th - International Kissing Day #InternationalKissingDay
IDEA ➡️ Share an ode to your sweetheart. This would make a nice 'personal touch' post.
July 7th - World Chocolate Day #WorldChocolateDay
IDEA ➡️ Mmmm...Chocolate Day! Do a fun giveaway to drive interest to your socials or your shop.

IDEA ➡️ Are you a gamer? Do you game with your kids? This could be a great 'personal touch' post.
July 11th - Cheer Up the Lonely Day #CheerUpTheLonelyDay
IDEA ➡️ Host an event in your shop or a lunch + learn for your service-based business to bring people together.
July 12th - Malala Day #MalalaDay
IDEA ➡️ Happy Birthday, Malala! Today also honours the rights of women and children.

IDEA ➡️ This one is pretty simple - Do an online or in-store giveaway!

IDEA ➡️ Are you raising money for a worthy cause? Use your social media channels to do so.

IDEA ➡️ Remember when emojis were all the rage? Share a fun, creative emoji series in your post today for old time's sake.

IDEA ➡️ How is your biz making a difference in your community? Today is the day to share that info with your audience. Or shout out to another biz doing good things!
July 18th - National Ice Cream Day #IceCreamDay
IDEA ➡️ Share a fun picture or video of you eating local ice cream and tag the shop.
July 18th - World Listening Day #WorldListeningDay
IDEA ➡️ Share a REEL of you and your team enjoying the sounds of nature. Today is about talking less and listening more.
July 21st - Get to Know Your Customers Day #GetToKnowYourCustomersDay

July 24th - International Self-Care Day #InternationalSelfCareDay
IDEA ➡️ Post how you will spend some time self-caring today! Spa trip, a walk, or even turning off the internet for a few hours.

IDEA ➡️ We're always on our phones or zooming these days, so spend some time talking to someone face to face!
July 30th - International Day of Friendship #DayOfFriendship
IDEA ➡️ Tag a business you admire or a business colleague you collab with and shout your appreciation from the rooftop AKA your social feeds.
